The perfect way to begin your wedding planning process; The Springs Open Houses are fun events where you can tour our venues and meet many wedding professionals in your area. They are your one-stop shop for wedding planning and one of the best ways to figure out what you do and do not like when it comes to your wedding vision. The Springs invites vendors from various categories; you can chat with them all or just the vendors you need. Vendors often include transportation rentals, caterers, DJs and musicians, florists, bridal boutiques, calligraphers, event planners, and so much more! Open Houses are free to the public no matter if you are currently booked at The Springs or not.
When you first step into the hall, The Springs’ managers are waiting to greet you! They will inform you of any fun activities or giveaways that The Springs is offering! You can then begin your self-guided tour of the venue. This is also the perfect opportunity to show off your venue to friends and family. Your wedding day is going to be a whirlwind, so it is always fun to bring your loved ones to see your venue without being on a schedule.
If you want your venue to be a surprise, this is also a great time to visit with your wedding planner. Use it to plan where you would like to place decorations, how you want your floor plan, and which areas of the venue you would like to highlight the most. Then you can get the dimensions of the areas of the venue that you plan to decorate.
Open Houses are a wonderful stress-free opportunity to examine the venues, especially if you are not currently booked with us. Our rockstar managers are always happy to help with anything you need or to answer any questions that come up as you tour. Be sure to keep an eye out for The Springs’ rental items as well! We offer a variety of items to our couples including chargers, table decor, and marquee letters.
As you tour the venue, you’ll pass lots of friendly vendors that The Springs highly recommends. Depending on the venue, you can expect to see anywhere from 30 to 50 of the area’s top wedding professionals, whom we like to call our FRIEND-ors! We handpick and recommend the best of the best as many of our featured vendors have won awards from sites like The Knot.
You can take a closer look at the vendors’ work and stop to chat with them as you tour. For example, caterers will often offer samples of their best dishes for you to taste while you chat. Bakeries may offer cupcakes or bites of their favorite flavors, in addition to having cakes on display. Bartenders might even serve cocktails to those 21 and over. Photographers and videographers will have their work from previous weddings on display – you get the picture. 😉
Once you’ve spoken, most vendors will give you a pamphlet or business card with their information. You can expect them to look a little something like this card from Patriotic Pig in Weatherford, Texas.

If you are interested in a vendor but don’t want to book just yet, they may have you fill out a contact slip so they can get in touch with you as you progress in your planning process. However, booking a vendor at an Open House can frequently lead to a discounted service.
The Springs Open Houses are a very popular event for our couples. Each venue tries to host at least two Open House events per year. Since they are so popular, we prefer that you RSVP so our managers and vendors will know how many guests to prepare for. But if you forget to RSVP, it’s alright to swing by anyway! However, when it comes to vendors, those spots at The Springs Open Houses are an “invite-only” affair.
