Wedding Florals The Springs in Weatherford

what you need to know about wedding florals: a Q&A

In this Q&A, we dive into the world of wedding florals with Tiffani & Co, a DFW wedding florist, to learn more about what to expect when booking a florist for your big day.

Q: For what you most commonly see, what is a realistic floral budget for couples in 2025?

A: I’d say the average cost for wedding florals for 2025 range from $4500- $7k.

Q: How does the time of year or season impact the types of flowers available for weddings?

A: The different seasons do have a big impact on more specific types of flowers like peonies, tulips, dahlias etc, but if the couples are open minded there are options for flowers that may have a similar look as some harder to get flowers that can be used in its place. As for colors those are pretty easy to obtain year round.

Q: What are some creative ways to incorporate flowers into a wedding beyond bouquets and centerpieces?

A: Some creative ways to incorporate florals aside from traditional centerpieces and bouquets are statement pieces like hanging installations, large pieces on fireplaces, stair case florals, larger seating chart designs and of course make a statement with your sweetheart table!

Q: How can couples make the most of their floral budget without sacrificing beauty?

A: The best way to make your budget stretch with florals is to repurpose items if possible. Choose aisle pieces that can double as centerpieces, arch decor for sweetheart tables or even the cake table. Do mix match table designs to mix things up but sometimes doing different florals on tables can stretch your budget but also elevate the overall look.

Q: What should couples ask when meeting with a florist for the first time?

A: When meeting with a florist whether it be via telephone or in person, ask them if they have travel fees, ask about additional rentals that you may want for your wedding decor like candles, ask to see any reviews from previous couples. That’s a big one! Also just see if you mesh with their style and personality.

Q: How can couples choose flowers that complement their wedding theme and color palette?

A: I always suggest sticking with just the color palette and letting your florist choose flowers that fit into the scheme but if there are special flowers that are a must have discuss those with your florist to see if they are available for the season, and or within the budget. If you choose the right florist I promise they will knock it out of the park.

Q: What are the pros and cons of using fresh flowers versus artificial or dried flowers?

A: The pros and cons are truly what works for a couples budget. Personally I work primarily with fresh flowers. They have a look and smell that’s unmatched. With that being said, sometimes the weather plays a huge told as to what’s suitable for your wedding day if it’s outdoors. You can always incorporate a mix of faux and fresh for those circumstances. Also when you do fresh you can completely customize the look and style you’re going with to really bring your vision to life.

Q: What are some current wedding floral trends couples might want to consider?

A: Some trends I’m seeing are fun colors, and alot of color blocking with different textures. Bows are a big trend right now as well. Another fun trend is different styles of tables in the reception space with mismatched table linen prints.

Q: How far in advance should couples start planning their wedding florals?

A: It’s definitely good to try and book your florist 9-12 months out. Prime dates are always the first to book so you don’t want to miss out on securing that awesome florist.

Q: What are some fun ways to repurpose wedding flowers after the ceremony or reception?

A: Ceremony flowers are always the best to repurpose. You can use alter florals at the sweetheart table depending on design style, also aisle florals can be used as centerpieces. Your florist should give you some suggestions as to what should or could be repurposed.
