Shameless plug, but we are loving the Barbie movie here at The Springs. It’s taken the world by storm, especially in the last week since its premiere. But don’t worry – no movie spoilers here!
Since our The Springs Venues as The Eras Tour blog was such a big hit, we thought it would be fun to think back on all of the gorgeous weddings that we have hosted at our venues and match them up to some of our girl Barbie’s most iconic looks over the years.
Known for being a classic, this Barbie dons a black-and-white striped swimsuit with gold earrings and a ponytail. Which immediately brought to mind, Corey + Gracie’s gorgeous January wedding at The Springs in Wallisville, photographed by Angela Sostarich. Full of timelessness, this wedding day, like OG Barbie will always be looked back on and admired for its beauty.
Both known for being showstoppers, Disco Barbie and the 1976 Superstar Barbie both made us think of Caitlin + Ryan’s wedding day at The Springs in Cypress. Photographed by Sweet Nest Photography, Caitlin’s shimmering wedding dress, effortless fun, and of course, disco balls were the perfect way to represent these two fabulous and fun Barbies!
This 1999 Hollywood Nails Barbie is a celestial stunner, just like the Paynes’ wedding day at The Springs in McKinney‘s Tuscany Hill. This doll was known for her fun star-studded outfit and many other features like trendy hair and painted nails. Similarly, the details of Chrystal and Derrick’s wedding have us swooning! While it is Barbieland, we obviously can’t forget about Ken! Marine Corps Barbie and Ken remind us of all of our military couples, like Julie and Nic. Their wedding at The Springs in Edmond was so beautiful, and photographed by Tammy Odell Photography. Nic is an Army Ranger and we are so thankful for his service to our country. Reminder, The Springs offers a military discount to any active-duty or retired members of our military community. Ask your venue team for more information!
When we saw Ana’s AMAZING red wedding dress, our minds went straight to Barbie’s iconic look from 2000 when she partnered with Ferrari. Her dress was bright, and bold with a little sparkle, just like Ana’s! We have seen some beautiful wedding dresses at The Springs in Tulsa, but Ana’s is forever one of our most unforgettable favorites. Photographed by Modern Moments Photography.
While we have many holiday weddings here at The Springs, the Holiday Barbie collection really made us think about Victoria and Jake’s special wedding at The Springs in Magnolia. Victoria wore her grandmother’s vintage outfit from her grandparent’s wedding day. She and Jake even re-created their photos during their grand exit! Showing love and admiration through fashion, 100% Barbie-approved!
Obviously, we couldn’t miss this look when we saw the Ladner’s wedding at The Springs in Weatherford‘s Parker Manor. The cowboy hats, the florals, the pink suits?!?! Need we explain ourselves more? Our last Barbie of this blog was designed by Carter Bryant (yes, the guy who founded the Bratz dolls). This magnificent blue dress focuses on classic elements and beautiful floral touches, just like Chenyang and Shuo’s wedding day at The Springs in Denton! Photographed by Silent Tea Studio, this wedding day was GORGEOUS and the perfect match to such a grand dress for our girl, B.
