POV: Your fabulous wedding reception is wrapping up. You’ve got your newlywed spouse right by your side for your perfect and (finally) private last dance moments. All of your most beloved friends and family await you outside. They are all lining up to give you both a magnificent grand send-off into your married life.
The question is… what are they sending you off with?
In today’s age of the internet (and having Pinterest at your fingertips) the ideas for send-off items are literally endless. How are you supposed to choose?! This is where we come in! Here at The Springs we definitely have some favorites that we’ve seen at our venues! Let’s go ahead and share our top 5 send of items!
We think bubbles are the CUTEST summertime wedding exit! It gives all of the Under the Sea and Princess Ariel vibes! Plus, who didn’t like blowing bubbles as a kid? Talk about bringing some nostalgia to your wedding! Whether you do blow wands or bubble guns, this send-off is sure to be a hit with all of your guests!
A common choice, but also a classic. Sparkler exits are a fabulous way to end your wedding night! Not to mention they always make for a great photo opportunity. But, if you’re hosting alcohol at your event or you think a windy day will diminish the fun (and the sparks) you can always opt for a more modern approach to a sparkler exit, the cold spark machine. Both sparkler options are absolutely amazing and will definitely be sticking around for a while.
However, we would like to note that sparklers are not allowed at The Springs in Arlington; per city ordinance.
Interested in a budget-friendly send-off? A hand tunnel is a perfect solution! Not only is it free, but these photos always come out so fun with a little help from your photographer! It gets your family and friends close as they wish you well and into the getaway car. This is also a great way to actually interact with your guests a little bit more as you make your exit.
Another photo-worthy item is the flower petal toss. This item, while completely timeless, will always be unique to you! You can choose the kind of flower the petals are from and the color to match the theme of your wedding! Have your photographer demonstrate to your guests how they need to toss the flower petals. Doing this will help ensure that you will get the perfect photo during your amazing send-off!
