Matti & Evan Jackson’s wedding at The Springs in Weatherford reflected a relationship shaped by faith, nostalgia, and years of crossing paths before they ever officially started dating. The pair had always known of each other through church and mutual friends, but over time their friendship slowly deepened through shared interests, concerts, and countless Chili’s dates. Eventually it became clear that their relationship had been unfolding in perfect timing. Evan later proposed at the Dallas Arboretum, returning to the exact spot where one of their first photos together had been taken during an early date.
When it came time to choose their wedding venue, Matti & Evan knew the setting would shape the entire day. While Parker Manor’s timeless architecture first caught their attention, it was the chapel that made the decision for certain. The familiar pews and sun-kissed setting immediately felt like home, bringing a sense of peace that this was exactly where they were meant to be married. Their wedding vision embraced the venue’s classic elegance while weaving in subtle retro nostalgia so guests of every generation could feel welcome and at ease throughout the entire celebration.
That nostalgic touch showed up in thoughtful details throughout the day. Many of the candles and vases used for centerpieces were sourced secondhand and paired with simple bud vases, while guests signed vintage records instead of a traditional guestbook. Those records now hang in the couple’s home, each one carrying handwritten notes and memories from loved ones who celebrated alongside them. One of Matti’s favorite moments came at the very end of the night when she and Evan shared a quiet final dance together, pausing to take in the day they had just experienced and the new chapter they were beginning side by side.
