Real Wedding at The Springs in Norman
Hannah and Dylon’s French-inspired spring wedding at The Springs in Norman blended soft blues, gold details, and a love story that began in childhood.
Hannah & Dylon’s story is a blockbuster classic, beginning in fourth grade when Hannah moved from Texas to Oklahoma and a boy named Dylon asked her to be his girlfriend. For a while, weekends were spent couple skating at the local rink until Hannah moved across town after elementary school, joining a rival high school. Fear not, that didn’t slow this story down as the distance didn’t stop Dylon from asking Hannah on a date their junior year—and they have been together ever since.
Fast forward several years when the time to pop the question has finally arrived. After Dylon’s carefully planned surprise proposal photoshoot in Broken Bow was accidentally uncovered, he pivoted. With the help of Hannah’s sister-in-law and photographer, and a little white lie about “damaged photos”, he orchestrated a second “redo” photoshoot at the Myriad Gardens, where what was meant to be a retake became the moment they had both been looking forward to.
When it came time to start planning, Hannah leaned fully into the experience, drawn to every detail from the very beginning. Aurora Grove at The Springs in Norman was the first and only venue they toured, and it felt immediately like it was the place for them. The space reflected both of their personalities and the rest fell into place with ease. Hannah found her gown at Chantilly, and together they had already chosen rings that felt true to them. Their vision took shape around a French-inspired aesthetic, something soft and romantic, grounded in spring. Shades of blue layered with white and gold created a palette that felt both refined and whimsical.
The morning of the wedding arrived with heavy rain, the kind that threatens to shift everything. Roads flooded, plans adjusted, and Dylon was forced to turn around on his way to the venue, arriving late to the rehearsal in a different car than planned. But just before the ceremony began, the skies cleared, heralding the joyous moments ahead. Before walking down the aisle, Hannah & Dylon chose to step away together for private vows, a first touch, and a quiet prayer—an intentional pause that become the center of their day. During the ceremony, both families gathered around them in prayer, and Hannah’s cousin, who had once been a part of her very first moments of faith, stood as their officiant. Their wedding was a sweet reminder that some stories are built slowly, over years and distance, until one day they arrive exactly where they were always meant to be. If The Malletts could pass on anything to future couples, it’s simple—hold onto each moment as it comes, even the unpredictable ones, because it all becomes part of the story you only get to write once. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Mallet! Thank you for letting The Springs be a part of your most special day.
