Real Wedding at The Springs in McKinney: Natalie & Oscar
Natalie and Oscar’s Tuscany Hill wedding was a timeless celebration of love, family, and legacy, filled with heartfelt tributes and classic elegance.
Natalie and Oscar Silva’s love story began long before wedding plans and Pinterest boards, back in a high school classroom where a freshman-year college prep class sparked a friendship that would quietly grow into something lasting. After years of friendship, they began dating their senior year and carried their love through college at UNT, building a foundation rooted in history, patience, and shared growth. On May 25, 2025, that story came full circle at Tuscany Hill in McKinney, where Natalie and Oscar celebrated a timeless wedding day that honored not only their journey together, but the family legacy that shaped it.
While on a spring break trip to Colorado with friends, Oscar surprised Natalie with a breathtaking setup along a snowy cliffside, complete with roses placed in the ground as their friends quietly captured the moment. When it came time to choose the ring, Oscar felt confident knowing they had talked openly about Natalie’s style and preferences. With her likes and dislikes in mind, he selected a ring that felt true to her — a meaningful symbol chosen with care, love, and a deep understanding of the woman he was asking to spend forever with.
Wedding planning was an exciting and deeply meaningful season for Natalie and Oscar. Natalie embraced the details wholeheartedly, sharing that “I loved planning all the details and getting all the logistics together,” taking on the process alongside her mom without a full-service planner. One of the most sentimental moments came while dress shopping, when Natalie’s mom and grandmother joined her — “it was so sentimental to have my favorite women with me.” Their vision for the day was classic and timeless, shaped by legacy and love, including sharing the same wedding date as Natalie’s parents, Cheryl and Andy. Honoring her late father through that shared anniversary, and wearing her parents’ resized wedding bands, added layers of meaning that made the celebration feel both personal and profound.
The morning unfolded calmly but with excitement as Natalie got ready surrounded by her closest friends and family. Laughter and quiet moments filled the space as final touches were made and the significance of the day slowly set in. Before the ceremony, Natalie and Oscar shared a private first look, giving them time to be fully present together and take in the moment before joining their guests and beginning the celebration.
The ceremony reflected Natalie and Oscar’s timeless vision, with a palette of soft greens, warm golds, and classic whites. As Natalie shared, “My mom’s wedding was also of similar style,” making the design feel even more meaningful. One of the most emotional moments came from a reserved chair placed in honor of Natalie’s late father. As the bridal party walked down the aisle, each member placed a flower on the chair, a surprise planned by Oscar that Natalie described as “very special,” adding that there were “not many dry eyes.” Framing the ceremony was a DIY floral arch created by Natalie and her family using faux blooms, a project that took many hours and became a labor of love and a beautiful focal point for the ceremony.
The reception was filled with joy, laughter, and moments Natalie and Oscar will never forget. One unexpected and funny moment came from their photo display featuring 4×4 images of the couple and a neon sign of their last name. On the drive to the venue, several photos flew off and landed on the George Bush freeway, leading to a last-minute midnight Walgreens order to replace them. When the new photos arrived in color instead of black and white, Natalie admitted she was worried, but her family quickly stepped in, rearranging the display around the neon sign so everything still looked beautiful. Some of Natalie’s favorite moments from the day were simply being together, sharing that “any moment spent with Oscar” stood out most. Their last dance felt especially meaningful as they danced to Chappell Roan’s cover of Your Song, followed by a high-energy highlight when Natalie and her girlfriends filled the dance floor to Hot to Go, a moment that perfectly captured the celebratory spirit of the night.
Looking back on their wedding day, Natalie and Oscar would not change a thing. Instead, they hope other couples feel encouraged to embrace what matters most to them. As Natalie shared, “Remember this is your wedding. Do what you want.” From the guest list to the music and every detail in between, their advice is to choose what feels meaningful and authentic. When your wedding reflects who you are and the life you are building together, it becomes not just a celebration of love, but a true reflection of you as a couple. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Silva!
