Real Wedding at The Springs in Rockwall: Abbie & Hunter
Celebrate Abbie & Hunter’s Rockwall Manor wedding — a day filled with nature-inspired details, family traditions, and heartfelt moments.
Abigail and Hunter Worthy’s love story began in college, even though they had walked the same high school halls years earlier without ever crossing paths. After reconnecting online, they planned their first date, and from the moment they sat down, Abbie tells us, “we both were telling ourselves we had just met the person we would marry.” That quiet certainty turned into a love story that has never slowed in momentum.
Hunter planned a proposal that perfectly blended his love for the outdoors with Abigail’s close family ties. While on vacation with her family in Colorado, he led her to the breathtaking views of Rocky Mountain National Park, where he asked her to be his wife. Abbie’s engagement ring was just as thoughtful as the proposal—she had shared ideas with Hunter ahead of time, hoping for something unique. The result, which you’ll see on beautiful display further down, was a stunning Moss Agate gemstone surrounded by diamonds, a one-of-a-kind piece that reflected her personal style and their shared love for nature.
When it came time to start planning, Abigail and Hunter knew The Springs was the right fit for them. After researching venues in the DFW area, they toured only Springs locations, ultimately choosing Rockwall Manor for its amenities and package value. Abbie found her gorgeous gown at A & Be Bridal in Dallas, while Hunter worked with The Black Tux showroom in Frisco. Nearly every detail of their day carried a personal touch: the couple DIY’d and thrifted much of the decor themselves, from the welcome sign and day-of newspapers to the florals, signage, and welcome mirror!
Before the ceremony, Abigail and Hunter chose to keep the tradition of not seeing each other, but they still carved out an intimate moment to connect. Instead of a first look, they shared a first touch, standing back-to-back and holding hands as they exchanged private vows. It was a quiet, emotional pause in the midst of the excitement, and a chance to focus on the promises they were making before stepping into the ceremony to begin their new chapter together.
Their ceremony was a true reflection of Abbie & Hunter’s story and values. With Hunter being a forester, their vision was inspired by trees and nature—symbols of roots, strength, and lifelong growth. Both of their parents have been married for 25 years, and nearly every couple in their families has built lasting marriages. In Abbie’s own words, “Watching such strong foundations of love throughout our lives is exactly why we both are the individuals we have grown into. Our love for each other was heavily influenced into how we decorated for our wedding, simple but intricate in detail just like trees. We went with a vintage and simple aesthetic, but focuses heavily on the details that we knew were important to us on our big day.”
The reception carried the same heartfelt meaning as their ceremony, highlighted by a unity tree planting that honored the strong foundations of love both of their parents had built. It was a deeply emotional and inspiring moment, symbolizing not only their marriage but also the uniting of two families into one. Surrounded by their loved ones, Abigail and Hunter celebrated with joy, carrying forward the roots of legacy and love into the start of their own forever.
Looking back, Abigail and Hunter wouldn’t change a thing about their wedding day. Their advice to other couples is to take it all in and not let the little things overshadow what truly matters. “Take in as much of the day as possible—it goes by so fast so you need to relax and not worry about what goes wrong. There will always be something you could have fixed, or done differently but the day is about celebrating the love and unity of you and your husband, so don’t let the superficial and materialistic details overwhelm you.” Their words serve as a gentle reminder that weddings are about more than perfect timelines or flawless decor—they are about the love at the center of it all, the joining of two families, and the start of a new chapter together.
