Last Sunday, on August 20th, 2023, The Springs in Denton hosted our second annual Engaged! 2023 event with our special guest speaker, Alan Berg.
Before we recap how this year’s event went, we wanted to share our why with you all. At The Springs, our staff wants successful weddings, but more importantly, your marriages to be set up for success. Engaged! was designed with that in mind; giving you the tools to have a succesful and fruitful marriage whether you are a Springs couple or not.
This year, at Engaged! 2023, the wonderful Alan Berg came down to speak on the topic of “Things I Wish I Knew Before I Said I Do.” What made Alan a speaker credible enough to speak on such a topic? Well, Alan Berg has 25 years in the wedding industry, published two wedding magazines, was a Vice President at The Knot, and is one of only 38 Global Speaking Fellows! He also has a long lasting and succesful marriage, with lots of loving children and grandchildren.
Alan’s talk was a wonderful and refreshing time. He gave lots of tips when it came to finances as a couple, conflict resolution, and how to make the work that goes into a successful marriage fun. We had many couples listening to Alan while enjoying some tasty hors d’oeurves from Sophisticated Delights and drinks from Corn and Rye Spirits Catering.
While Engaged! was taking place at The Ranch, we had tons of wonderful vendors setting up at The Lodge for The Springs in Denton‘s Open House. These vendors were all so kind and provided some AWESOME gift baskets that we raffled off to our Engaged! 2023 attendees. Once Alan wrapped up there was lots of mingling, touring the venue, and a little extra snacking before our guests headed up to The Lodge for Open House.
