Kaylyn and Alvaro’s love story began through a family friend—a simple introduction that blossomed into something beautiful. Years later, Alvaro surprised Kaylyn with a proposal during their family Christmas photos, turning what was supposed to be a festive gathering into a heartwarming moment surrounded by loved ones. When it came time to plan their big day, the couple knew exactly where to begin. “The first thing we did was book y’all—our venue—then our wedding planner!” Kaylyn shared. With The Springs in Wallisville setting the tone and Perfect Six Events leading the way, their planning journey was filled with excitement as every detail came together beautifully.
Their June celebration at Trinity Farmhouse embraced a clean, modern, and timeless design. “Nothing too crazy because the venue speaks for itself,” Kaylyn explained. The color palette of emerald green, black, and white created an elegant contrast against the venue’s natural beauty, perfectly capturing the couple’s refined yet effortless style. From Birdy Grey bridesmaids dresses to Men’s Warehouse suits for the guys to the stunning florals by Carly Beth’s Floral, every element tied back to the vision of understated sophistication. During their ceremony, Kaylyn and Alvaro incorporated the Lasso and Arras traditions, symbolizing unity and commitment—a meaningful reflection of their heritage and love story.
For Kaylyn, the most emotional moment of the day was seeing Alvaro’s face as she walked down the aisle. From there, the night flowed into a lively reception complete with custom signs that kept the party going. Guests dances, laughed, and celebrated at the newlyweds soaked in every second. Looking back, Kaylyn shared one piece of advice for future couples: “Enjoy the moment and make it about y’all—the night goes so fast.” Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Martinez and their very happily ever after!
